February Opening for London’s Unknown Garden

Few people walking along the busy Chelsea Embankment realise there is a fabulous garden behind high brick walls. The Chelsea Physic Garden was founded in the 17^th century and still conducts research into herbal medicine, but is normally closed in the winter.

However, in February the joy of the garden are the snowdrops and this year there is a special opening on Sunday 5^th and 12^th February so galanthophiles, (snowdrop lovers) can kneel before their adored harbingers of spring. Hot soup and teas will be served whatever the weather and copies of the recently updated ‘Snowdrop Days’ will be on sale plus, of course, snowdrops and unusual plants.
