National Botanic Garden Of Wales
Description
The National Botanic Garden of Wales is just seven years old but has already achieved iconic status as the most visited garden in Wales.
Recently crowned the No 1 Wonder of Wales, the Garden boasts tens of thousands of plants, a million bees, a wonderful array of wildlife and the biggest single-span glasshouse in the world.
Take the chance to explore the 100+ acres of stunning garden – from the necklace of lakes, and the Welsh country walks, to the Japanese Garden and the unique and historic Double-Walled Garden.
New this year is the stunning Tropical House, which is opening in mid-July and will be filled with palms, lilies, blue ginger, bamboo – and 1,000 orchids.
Also new in 2007 is the Wild Bunch (Criw Gwyllt) a special club for children aged 5-14 who want to learn more about the Garden and nature.
There’s also a licensed restaurant, two cafes, a shop and plant sales to browse and enjoy.
