Description

Trachelospermum jasminoides ‘Variegatum’

For more information – CLICK HERE

  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: fertile, well-drained soil
  • Rate of growth: initially slow-growing
  • Flowering period: July and August
  • Hardiness: half hardy (will need winter protection)

White-splashed, green leaves, which remain on the plant throughout the year, are accompanied by clusters of jasmine-scented, pure white, tubular flowers in mid- and late summer. This colourful climber is ideal for a sheltered, sunny wall, however as it is less hardy than the plain-green form, it’s best grown in a cool greenhouse or conservatory where winter temperatures fall below -10C.

  • Garden care: No pruning necessary, however you can snip it back in February or March trim to keep within bounds. Protect from the winter weather.
