Acorn Bank Garden and Watermill

In the foothills of the Pennines, with spectacular views across the Eden Valley, this tranquil garden, sheltered by ancient oaks and high enclosing walls, is a haven for wildlife. The famous herb garden holds a fascinating collection of medicinal and culinary herbs and walled orchards grow traditional varieties of fruit. Outside the walls, paths wander through the wild garden and woods, along Crowdundle Beck to the partially restored watermill, open to visitors. Holiday cottages and a tea-room are located within the house, which is not open to the public
