Description

Coughton Court

Tudor house and gardens in period style

Coughton Court is one of England’s finest Tudor houses. Home of the Throckmorton family since 1409, the house has fine collections of furniture, porcelain and family portraits, and a fascinating exhibition on the Gunpowder Plot of 1605. The family has created and developed the grounds over the past 12 years so they are now totally in keeping with the period setting. Highlights include the walled garden and labyrinth, spectacular displays of roses, hot and cool herbaceous borders, bog garden and river walk
