There is no entry charge but we do welcome donations.
There will be sculptures by about 70 sculptors. All sculptures will be for sale and priced at under £4000, most being under £1000 and some under £100. Exhibitors only contribute minimal commission to cover the direct costs of the exhibition so prices are competitive and artists benefit. Most sculptors come from Gloucestershire and surrounding counties but a few from much further away. The exhibition is designed to appeal to sculptors at the beginning of their careers, including students, although some well-established sculptors who price their work competitively do come.
There will be an indoor exhibition of work by local artists
For a small charge tea, coffee and cold drinks are available, as well as biscuits and sometimes cake. There are many places for lunch within a few miles.
There are some gravel paths and steps so most but not all of the garden and exhibits are accessible by wheelchair. There are some potential hazards for small children, such as steps and ponds, so they should be supervised. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome and there are parking places in the shade. Parking is in the adjacent field or on the common, on grass.

There will be a companion exhibition at The Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. This will include works by some of the sculptors who are exhibiting in the garden. The sculptures will be displayed on the walls of the Cafe Bar which is open during Box Office hours every day during the exhibition. All work will be for sale at the Box Office and the minimal commission will support the work of The Roses, which is Tewkesbury’s community arts charity.

Affordable Garden Art Exhibition
Welcome. We hope you enjoy the garden and the sculptures. The sculptures have been made by sculptors of all levels of experience, from beginners and students to well-established artists with international reputations. Most, but not all, are from Gloucestershire and surrounding counties. If you have any questions, Andrew or one of the sculptors will be here at all times.
Pleas vote for your favourite sculpture in the tub on the verandah.
Please do not picnic in the garden. You are welcome to use the car parking field.
Dogs on leads are welcome, unless they annoy the cat.
Normal garden hazards apply. There are steps, ponds, trip hazards, prickly plants and, of course, heavy and fragile sculptures.
If you enjoy your visit please make a donation in one of the boxes. We are supporting the Royal British Legion again this year but, in response to requests from visitors last year, we also have a box in aid of this garden, to help us keep the exhibition and open garden going in future years.

Showborough House holds the Affordable Garden Art Competition and Exhibition in the Spring. A wide variety of good but affordable sculpture, mostly by local or emerging sculptors, can be seen in the natural setting of the one and a half acre garden, which has been renovated over the last five years. There are works in different sizes, styles and media, including wood, metal, stone, glass, ceramic and resin. Showborough is an informal venue, where visitors are encouraged to enjoy the exhibits and the garden at their own pace, and perhaps to sit and relax with a cup of tea or coffee.
Exhibits are for sale and because Showborough House is a non-profit venture any purchases provide maximum support to the artists.
It features works by over sixty sculptors in stone, metal, ceramic, glass and other materials, all displayed in the attractive garden. There is an indoor exhibition of work by invited local artists and refreshments are available.
The exhibition is open Thursday to Sunday and on Bank Holiday Mondays, from 10:30am until 4:00pm.

HOW TO FIND US
Showborough House is conveniently situated close to the A38, M5 and M50 and is easy to find with a little guidance. Some satellite navigation systems leave people on the M5, part of which has the same postcode, so the final mile from Twyning is best followed the old-fashioned way, by map or the instructions below.
