CELEBRITY GARDENERS DIARMUID GAVIN & MATTHEW WILSON, GAY SEARCH & GEOFF HODGE TO SHARE THEIR EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE AT GRAND DESIGNS LIVE LONDON 2010

Diarmuid Gavin, Matthew Wilson, Gay Search and Geoff Hodge from the Royal Horticultural Society and James Alexander-Sinclair, Cleve West & Joe Swift will be guest speakers at this year’s award-winning consumer show Grand Designs Live London, 1st – 9th May 2010 at ExCeL.

Grand Designs Live, London, will this year host two seminar theatres – the Gardens Theatre sponsored by Cuprinol and the GRAND Seminar Theatre sponsored by first direct – for garden enthusiasts to listen to seminars by some of the UK’s most coveted gardeners.

The Gardens Theatre sponsored by Cuprinol will include a diverse selection of seminars during each day of the show covering key topics in the garden forum from wildlife gardening to combating pests and diseases delivered by a mix of gardening celebrities and experts including; Matthew Wilson, Gay Search and Geoff Hodge from the Royal Horticultural Society and James Alexander-Sinclair, Cleve West & Joe Swift – collectively known as Three Men went to Mow.

The Three Men went to Mow seminar is scheduled for Monday 3rd May at 12:45 – 13:30, in the seminar the collective will be trying out various taste tests and running a panel game with members of the public – a mixture of Mastermind and Jeux Sans Frontieres.

Matthew Wilson will be talking about his new series Landscape Man and his new book, ‘Making A Garden’, which accompanies the series. Matthew will also be showing visitors how to apply the principles of garden design in their own plot. You don’t need acres of land to benefit from Matthew’s wisdom, a small roof terrace or balcony will suffice and be improved when following his advice and expertise. Matthew will host four seminars on two dates; these are scheduled to take place at the same times on both Saturday 1st and Saturday 8th May at 11:30 – 12:15 and again from 14:00 – 14:45.

Renowned celebrity gardener Diarmuid Gavin, an ambassador for Grand Designs Live alongside Kevin McCloud and George Clarke, will be hosting two seminars in the GRAND SeminarTheatre sponsored by first direct. Diarmuid has been widely credited with changing the way we think about garden design. His innovative work helped him make Home Front in the Garden one of the BBC’s most watched gardening programmes.

The two seminars – ‘Garden Design Masterclass with Diarmuid Gavin‘ – will give visitors an insight into his rich imagination and his vast knowledge of gardening and design. The seminars will take place on Sunday 2nd May and Saturday 8th May at 14:30 – 15:15.
