The annual Spring Plant Fair, organised by Suffolk Plant Heritage in partnership with Helmingham Hall will be held in the beautiful grounds of Helmingham Hall on Sunday May 28th 2017

A GREAT DAY OUT: GARDEN, HOME AND FAMILY

Plants to buy; Find out about Conservation and pick up food, garden statuary and much more

Garden Zone: Nurseries from near and far, with lots of unusual and popular plants for sale – ferns, grasses, alpines, trees shrubs and bulbs. Local National Plant Collections, including Historic Carnations and Fuchsias bred by James Lye. The Suffolk Plant Heritage Plant Stall, packed with rare and unusual plants grown by our propagation group, some of which are not available elsewhere. New for Spring, William Dyson Salvias from Kent, Suffolk Seasons Cut Flower and Panache Plants from Norfolk

Garden Accessories: antique garden tools, modern sculpture and garden furniture.

Conservation Zone: Garden Societies, Local and National Charities, giving specialist advice about plants, gardens and wildlife.

Artisan Zone: A wide range of exhibitors offering everything from artisan foods and handmade soap to vintage French collectables and pottery.

A Free Plant for 800 Visitors:

A plant of the hardy Fuchsia ‘Whiteknights Pearl’ will be given to the first 800 visitors to claim them. Giving a plant away is the best form of conservation.

A Day Out for the Family:

Activities for Children: Free Goodie Bags, Children’s activities in their own Marquee, craft activities with the RSPB, and Mosaic Making.

Eat, Drink and be Merry: live music, a dance tent, homemade teas and lunches as well as a range of food stalls. Visitors can enjoy the Grade 1 listed gardens of Helmingham Hall, with walled kitchen garden, herbaceous borders, roses and ancient deer park.

Learn from the experts: The Garden Marquee will throughout the day host ‘Back to Basics Workshops’, for the New and Experienced Gardener. Our Plant Doctors will be available to offer advice on any gardening topic, to identify your mystery plants and plant problems.

Entry to the Plant Fair and Helmingham Hall Gardens is £7.00 per adult. Children are free.
