17th-century house with elegant 18th-century decoration
Built in the 17th century as a farmhouse, Ardress was remodelled in Georgian times. House tours include the Adam-style drawing room with its fine plaster ceiling, furniture and paintings. The farmyard, with traditional farm implements, is very popular with children. The attractive garden has woodland and riverside walks
