Crowther Landscapes was formed in 1966 and has won several prestigious national awards, which in 2007 includes an APL award for Garden Maintenance. The company is also a founder member of the Association of Professional Landscapes. This association keeps a check on all its members, keeping them aware of legislation and vetting quality of work produced.

Crowthers Landscaping Service
Crowther Landscapes was formed in 1966 and has won several prestigious awards by creating and constructing both domestic and commercial landscape projects.
Our skilled and trained landscape operatives are able to bring peoples ideas to reality by mixing the subtle blend of hard landscaping and soft planting schemes.
We work in conjunction with both garden designers and architects and have a loyal customer base of which we are very proud.

Our commercial department works regularly with local and nationwide building contractors on new and existing housing developments, public spaces and parks.
The landscape department has Alan Lambert running our major projects with work booked many months in advance covering Essex, London and the Home Counties.
From the time Ken started his company in 1966, he’s always felt the importance of small works being a major part of the company’s work. This still stands today, and you’ll frequently see us in our traditional cream-coloured vans doing anything from planting a tree, replacing a fencing panel to repointing a path or patio.

Crowther Garden Design and Build Services
Crowthers offer a regional garden design and build service for residential and commercial clients with high expectations for service with a capital ‘S’.
We work closely with our clients to create a comfortable, stylish, yet functional designs with an eye for detail and the budget.
Our experience in building a wide range of different gardens means that no matter how complex, nothing will be spared in building the garden as designed and specified.

Planting Design Service
From January 2007 we now offer a stand-alone planting design service to help you make those plant choices.
We have years of practical experience, visiting nurseries, talking to Nurserymen, growing, buying, planting and handling plants.
We produce simple, easy to follow scale planting plans which show which plants go where and why, bearing in mind the environment, growth, size and habit of the plants, and your requirements.
On a planting schedule we detail:

Botanic names and if you’re lucky the common names

Plant buying size
-
Pot size
-
Quantities of each variety
If you have the time, we also will go through the list with you and in plain English explain our choices.
Last, but not least, we are happy to source the material on your behalf.
On your enquiry our designer will arrange a visit to meet you to discuss your requirements and our charges.
When you are ready to have the scheme installed Crowther Landscapes will be delighted to provide written quotations for the construction work.
Using our horticultural skills we are able to offer a first class garden and grounds maintenance service, we pride ourselves at being one of the best maintenance contractors in the South East. Fully trained and selected horticulturists head all of our maintenance teams.
We maintain gardens from small London courtyards to large country estates; we are consistent about our finish and pride ourselves in our reliability whatever the weather.

Our Maintenance teams contain staff who have been with us for many years, many of which have been gardening all their working lives. We continually train our staff and our Apprentice has recently gone on to her higher level. As a company we are always trying to improve.
This year has seen the expansion of our Garden Maintenance department. We now look after over 80 gardens a week, from several acres to small courtyard gardens, from Harwich to Wanstead, Hampstead to Greenwich. No garden is too small or too large. We regularly maintain the ornamental gardens of two schools in Essex and care homes across the county, not forgetting some prestigious roof gardens.
